About Coach Amanda

Hello everyone! Here is a little info about me, just in case you are curious! :o)

I'm from Cleveland and came to Arizona to go to school at ASU. I'm majoring in special education and hope to teach children with autism. I graduate in May and am very excited to be done!!!!

I have been a cheerleader since I was 4 and cheered on squads in middle school and high school. I was the captain of 4 different squads throughout high school. I really love to cheer- we work hard and have fun but it is all about cheer- and I hope to pass my love of the sport onto the girls I coach!

I have some expectations for the class so here we go:

  • Try your best! I don't expect perfection but I do want 110% effort!
  • COME TO PRACTICE!!!! These are our teams and a team must work together to achieve their goals- we all have to be there to be the best we can be!
  • REMEMBER: This is cheerleading!!! Cheerleading isn't for everyone and that's OK but if you are here, you are a cheerleader and should work to better yourself and your team in this sport.
  • Respect me, the other people on your team, and yourself (don't say you can't do something- ask me how you could do it better- I love cheer-questions!).
  • HAVE FUN!!!! Cheering is fun! Enjoy it!

Thanks and feel free to contact me at ycoacheercoach@yahoo.com.

Coach Amanda

Welcome!!!

Welcome to Young Champions of America cheerleading at Power Ranch! I'm very excited to start a new semester! I have the blog in order for us to check information and keep in touch throughout the semester. Here you can find information about upcoming events, class activities, answers to frequent questions, and suggestions for working at home. Eventually, the cheer words will be up here as well! I hope this allows us to keep everyone up to date on YCOA cheerleading at Power Ranch! Feel free to contact me at ycoacheercoach@yahoo.com.
